Dr. Amanda Gallagher Whetzel was born and raised in Reading, Pennsylvania and attended James Madison University in Virginia where she received degrees in Health Services Administration and Business. While at James Madison, Dr. Gallagher played women’s varsity field hockey and received Division I Academic-Athlete honors. She received her Doctor in Dental Medicine (DMD) degree from Temple University School of Dentistry in Philadelphia, PA and graduated at the top of her dental school class with Summa Cum Laude recognition, was inducted into the Omicron Kappa Upsilon honorary dental society, and received the Herbert G. Lampson, M.D. Award for the most outstanding senior woman student.

Dr. Gallagher received her Orthodontics Specialty Certificate and Masters in Oral Biology (MS) from the University of Maryland School of Dentistry in 2011. While at Maryland and post-residency, Dr. Gallagher participated as an Orthodontic Specialist on Craniofacial and Cleft Palate teams at Johns Hopkins University Hospital and Kernan Medical Center. During her residency, Dr. Gallagher conducted original research focused on esthetic bracket and archwire options to achieve high-quality, esthetic orthodontic treatment for patients.

After residency, Dr. Gallagher worked as a private practice orthodontist in the suburbs of Boston, MA and then Frederick, MD. At that point, he left his financial advising career, which exploded the growth of his real estate endeavors and achieved higher than triple-digit returns on most of his properties.
As his passion and income became dominated by real estate, he and his wife Carrie started multiple real estate companies. These include Harris Investment Group, a private equity firm and investment fund focusing on value-add multifamily assets and commercial properties; Harris Real Estate Group, a real estate & property management brokerage; and Creative Gains, a mentoring & education company. Today, Jason coaches high-net-worth investors on how to build wealth through real estate.

A major part of his strategy is to maximize tax shelter benefits available to those investing in investment real estate — a subject Jason is passionate about since many astute investors do not understand the powerful impact taxes have on building wealth. Although he finds fulfillment in coaching others to grow their wealth, Jason’s primary focus is on Harris Investment Group acquisitions and asset management for his investor partners, as well as sourcing the best investment opportunities for the firm.
